The James Whale Radio Show, Mondays & Tuesdays 7-8pm

James is the well-known broadcaster and radio presenter, and contributor to the paper reviews on ITV’s This Morning and Sky News, with a glittering radio career on talkSPORT, LBC and BBC Radio.

 

James appeared on Celebrity Big Brother 2016. Having beaten kidney cancer in the early 00s he set up the James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer which is now the leading UK kidney cancer charity.  Away from broadcasting James likes to spend his time target shooting. His autobiography Almost a Celebrity: A Lifetime of Night-Time was published in 2007.

The Three Show, Sundays 3-4pm

Chris is a radio presenter and has worked for stations such as 95.8 Capital FM in London and the Heart netowrk in the UK.

 

Chris is married and lives in Essex with his wife Karen and two boys Harry and Sam. He was born in Eastbourne in Sussex but grew up in Watford, where he spent many a Saturday afternoon at Vicarage Road Stadium. He has been a Watford FC fan since.

Scott Robinson

Scott is a member of Boy Band 5ive. After the band split in 2001, Scott started a career in the radio industry, initially on Essex FM, and since on Chance Radio and FCUK Radio.

5ive were part of ITV's "The Big Reunion" and have since continued to tour around the globe with remaining mentions Scott, Sean and Ritchie. Scott lives in Essex with his wife Kerry, two boys Brennan and Kavan and twin girls Bobbi-Rayne and Kaydi-Rose. Scott is a die-hard Arsenal fan.

Alex Williamson

The Three Show, Sundays 3-4pm

Alex is a radio producer and has been producing breakfast radio in Essex for many years after winning a competition to be an intern - he never left..

 

He has produced Chris Brooks on the radio many times and has worked with Scott Robinson on various projects over the years. Alex lives in Essex with his wife Leah. He is a West Ham fan and season ticket holder.

Jason Scott

The Big Breakfast (Live), weekdays 7-10am / Ultimate UK Chart (Live), Sundays 4-7pm (repeats Fridays 6-9pm)

Jason started his broadcasting career at the early age of 14 doing book reviews for his local station in Bournemouth. He went on to work at the BBC, before his big break at Radio Wave in Blackpool.

 

Since then he has DJ'ed at many venues across the West Midlands including a three-year residency at one of Birmingham's largest venues: The Sports Cafe. In the mid 00s the bug of radio bit again and Jason went back to working at various stations around the UK and in the South of Spain.

The Brunch Spot, weekdays 10am-1pm / Reality Special, Tuesdays 8-10pm

Just a teenager, Johnny is already making waves on the local radio circuit, having been promoted to primetime presenting duties at Gateway 97.8 and on student radio station, RAW1251AM.

Johnny has a passion for news and journalism, but loves great music too! He can often be found listening to music ranging from the 80s to the most recent chart tracks. He’s been a youth ambassador for the Community Radio Association too. As if Johnny wasn’t busy enough with his presenting duties, he’s also a Politics student at the University of Warwick.

On The Radio, Fridays 10am-12pm / Mystery Top 40, Sundays 7-8pm

Paul has been working in the entertainment industry since 1991 when he was part of the charity station Radio Cracker. Since then he has been working as a DJ, Radio Presenter and Event Host.

Paul's radio work stretches all around the world with his weekly syndicated shows and he can also be heard every weekday on selected stations world wide with the flagship show, Paul Baker On The Radio. Paul is also currently working at the successful Popworld venues along the south coast with weekly residencies on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights.

Chart show presenters

Airplay40 Rewind, Tuesdays 5-7pm

Spencer James has been working in the media for over 15 years, and has been broadcasting for over a decade.

In that time he has been the programming controller for the UK’s first bi-lingual student radio station, Production & Promotions Manager for one of Spain’s biggest English radio networks, drive time and breakfast host on stations in the south east of the UK, as well as hosting the globally broadcast Top 4o chart show Airplay40.

Gary Hopkins

Retro Chart Show, Wednesdays 5-7pm

Gary has been presenting on the radio since 2011 and has worked on various radio stations in the west of the country. 

He sees the Retro Chart Show as a way of playing the music that lets people remember what they were doing at a particular point in the past, Since producing the show, he has played many great forgotten tracks which are now part of his collection. He has never seen an episode of Game of Thrones, and has a genuine passion for music, listening to anything from Elvis to The Prodigy.

Craigyboy

Big Saturday Night Show (Live), Saturdays 8pm-12am

Craig Pilley is a 31-year-old with many years' experience in radio for many different stations. Starting in hospital radio, he has always had a hands on approach.

 

Craig spent many years messing about with computers and radio equipment teaching himself what he needed to know. He appreciates that radio is a very hard game to get into, and holds his hands up to anyone that has got a job in radio. He feels lucky to have the support of some great people including best friend Aaron who produces the show.

Big Tommy

Saturday Music Marathon (Live), Saturdays 1-5pm

Big Tommy started spinning the plastic during the 80s & 90s as a DJ with his mobile disco road shows in the pubs & clubs of Glasgow and Lanarkshire in Scotland UK.

 

e’s been involved with community and commercial radio in Scotland from 2006 and has been on 12 different radio stations worldwide with the “Saturday Music Marathon Show”. In the breaks from playing his favourite music, Tommy loves to eat pasta, pizza, kebabs and of course, a good chinese. That could be why they call him “Big Tommy”.

JP

Radio International (Live), Wednesdays 7-10pm (repeats Sundays 12-3pm)

JP (Jürgen-Peter Börnig)'s dream of having his own English speaking radio show in the Netherlands came true in November 1998.

 

He had former experience as a DJ and radio show presenter in his spare time while employed with the American Forces Network in Belgium. He adopted his initials JP as his disc jockey title at this time. He plays Squash, Badminton, loves Beach Volleyball, and swims to keep fit. As an easy-going person with a great sense of humour, he is good fun and enjoys life to the full.

Having had an online presence since 1994, he is a noted commentator around the intersection of the media, internet, technology, mobility and how it affects us all. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, he has worked with a number of major media partners, including the BBC, Forbes, The Guardian, The Stage, STV, and The Times.

UK Independent, Saturdays 12-1pm

Kevin's radio career started in earnest in 2000 when he joined the student radio station of Thames Valley University (Now the University Of West London) for a 1 hour slot.

After leaving University he worked in hospital radio for five years between 2006-2011 before moving on to internet radio. Krystal Radio was the first station he joined to present what would eventually become The Spread, a mix of Japanese Music, UK chart and new and independent artists. In 2014, Kevin was nominated for and eventually won Best DJ at the Love Music Awards.

The NUA Show, Sundays 10pm-12am

Jay is a UK-based radio presenter with over 25 years of experience. Starting off at the age of 16 broadcasting weekly on his local hospital radio network, he stayed there for over 15 years.

 

In his career he has worked for stations including Beacon Radio, Kerrang Radio, Wyre Fm, Ace Fm and various other internet and RSL stations. In 2007 he started presenting an unsigned music show which was broadcast on a hugely popular internet radio station. In 2014 the show was networked and now broadcasts each week to a huge audience.

Host and creator of House Central (Club night and Radio Show), Jay Forster has been rooted in the UK Dance Music scene for over half a decade. Having presented a weekly dance show for over 8 years, his syndicated House Music show now airs on over 80 stations round the world to over 4 million listeners every week.

Mike Swaine

For over 15 years Mike has been involved in music one way or another. Studying radio production at Bournemouth, he then went onto be a music plugger for leading agency, DigiDJ.

Mike DJs the full spectrum of dance music which has allowed him to playing alongside the likes of Skrillex, Jack Beats, Pendulum, Chase & Status, MistaJam, Eddy Temple Morris, Danny Byrd, Soul Of Man and Dirty Sanchez. In 2014 Mike hosted the Temple Of Boom on Friday night of Secret Garden Party, culminating in a headline set to 3000 people before My Nu Leng.
